Michael Wayne Moore, age 67 of Climax, Virginia, joined his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, while at home surrounded by his family.

Born August 24, 1958 in Gretna, Virginia, he was the son of the late Jack Gilmer Moore and Susan Rorer Moore.  He was predeceased by a sister, Cheryl Jean Moore.

A devoted husband, proud father, and adoring grandfather, Michael lived a life marked by faith, dedication, and quiet strength. He was an active member of Greenpond Baptist Church and valued time spent with family. Known by friends for his sharp wit and perfectly timed remarks, he had recently retired after more than 40 years as a software engineer.  He also enjoyed music and playing instruments, including the guitar and mandolin. Above all, he cherished making memories with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Veronica Robinson Moore of the residence; his daughter, Susan Moore Davis and her husband, Andy of Parker, Colorado; his son, John Moore of Charlotte, North Carolina; his beloved grandchildren, Duke, Jack, and Evelyn; and a sister, Jackie Moore Hungerland and husband, John of Danville, Virginia. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Greenpond Baptist Church by Pastor Charlie Ryan.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
