Gretna……….Michael Aaron “Mike” Meeks, age 66 of Gretna passed away Monday, October 26, 2026 at his residence.

Born April 8, 1960 in Franklin County, he was a son of the late Aaron Meeks and Elsie Mae Emerson Bennett. He was predeceased by a sister Betty Bennett. Mike was a truck driver with Mountain View Farms; and he enjoyed hunting and being outdoors.

He is survived by two daughters, Teresa Meeks of Wirtz and Ashleigh Meeks of Durham, NC; his significant other, Sandra Hodges of Gretna; three brothers, Oscar Meeks and wife, Donna of Gretna, Larry Meeks of Gretna and Lyndon Meeks and wife, Rose of Gretna; one sister, Dianne Meeks of Gretna; five grandchildren, Dominick, Aaliyah, Ma’ryah, Kadarryus and Aryonna; and three nephews, Ben Meeks and wife, Candice, Daniel Meeks and Wayne Meeks.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the Booker Building, 400 Broad St, Altavista, VA 24517.
