Pittsville……Michael Lee King, age 56 of Pittsville, died Sunday, December 18, 2022 at UVA Medical Center.

Born April 23, 1966 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Jerry Wayne King and Sarah Elizabeth Hammock King of Gretna.  Michael was a bus mechanic with Sonny Merryman.  He enjoyed drag racing, fishing, hunting, working, tinkering on cars, spending time with his grandchildren and cooking at Fancy Frog.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Melissa Roach King of the residence; one daughter, April King of Sycamore; two sons, Darren Conner of Huddleston and Tyler Conner of Huddleston; two brothers, Gerald King and wife, Kim of Gretna and Tommy King and wife, Tammy of Gretna; one sister, Lisa Noya and husband, Frank of Gladys; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Raelyn and Wyatt.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 26, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Jason Andrews.  A private burial will follow.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
