Lynchburg……Michael "Mikey" Lee Ashby, age 26 of Lynchburg died Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born July 30, 1993 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Wanda Gail Ayers Roberts and husband, Michael and James Stephen "Steve" Shelton.  He was predeceased by a maternal grandfather, Otha Lewis Ayers.  Michael was employee of River City Construction.  He loved fishing, floating the river, all sports, and spending time with his children.

In addition to his parents he is survived by two sons, Abel Wayne Ashby, and Jaxon Bauer; three daughters, Aubree Lynn Ashby, Averie Elizabeth Ashby, and Aidanne Alesia Ashby; one brother, Zachary Hedrick; maternal grandmother, Judy Byrd and husband, Morgan Epperson; and girlfriend, Somer Brashear.

Memorial services will take place at a later date.
