Penhook..…..Melvin Wayne Arrington, age 78 of Penhook died Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital..

Born January 29, 1940 in Franklin County, he was a son of the late John L. Arrington and Lena Slayton Arrington.  He was also predeceased by a son-in-law, Bobby Tucker.  Melvin was a retired employee of Klopman and was a farmer.  He was a member of Museville Christian Church; enjoyed working on cars and working on the farm.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Claire Carter Arrington of the residence; three daughters, Lynn Tucker and husband, Robert Thompson, Susan Arrington and Lee McClenny and husband, Kenneth; one brother, John Kenneth Arrington and wife, Betty; one sister, Deborah Crowder and husband, Tony; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerry and Fern Fuller; seven grandchildren, Ben Tucker, Jonathon Tucker, Clay Tucker and wife, Autumn, Sam Tucker, Brandon McClenny, Claire McClenny and Avery McClenny; and seven great-grandchildren, Kurstin Tucker, Audra Tucker, Ethan Tucker, Carter McClenny, Harper McClenny, Charlie Tucker, and Catherine Tucker.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 31, 2018 at Museville Christian Church by Thomas A. Kilian III, Evangelist.
