Gretna……...Yvonne Maxine Rowland Catron, age 70 of 23980 US Highway 29, Gretna died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born September 16, 1941 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of Katherine Crawley Rowland of Gretna and the late Paul Grover Rowland. She was a member of Gretna Christian Church and was a teacher's aide with the Pittsylvania County School System. Mrs. Catron enjoyed traveling, shopping, and camping.
She is survived by her husband, Paul (Mickey) Catron, Sr. of the residence; one son Paul M. Catron, Jr. and his wife, Michelle of Gretna; one brother, Paul Darrell Rowland of Gretna; two grandsons, James McKinley Catron, and Tyler Lee Catron; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Gretna Christian Church by Rev. Roy Parker, Rev. Dwight Mays, and Wayne Grinnell, Minister. Entombment 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 7, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
