Gretna………Matthew Ryan "Matt" Worley, age 31 of Gretna died Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born December 5, 1990 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Kenny Dean Worley of Gretna and Lisa Rowles Worley of Hurt.  He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Elvin "Popeye" Rowles; his paternal grandmother, Vennie Dalton Worley; and his paternal grandfather, Shirley Mack Worley.  Matt was a graduate of Gretna High School and a mechanic.  He enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, fishing, and listening to music.  He also enjoyed making people laugh, spending time with his son, helping coach Little League Baseball, and doing anything Landon wanted to do.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Landon Matthew Worley; one sister, Lindsey Worley of Gretna; his maternal grandmother, Jackie Yates and husband, Harold of Chatham; one niece, Addison Paige Thomas; and one nephew, Jackson Ryan Worley.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Bobby Brumfield.  Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his sister, 420 Paisley Road, Gretna.
