Mary Hammock Moore

Gretna……….Mary Elizabeth Hammock Moore, age 70 of 164 Worley Ct., Gretna died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at her residence.
Born February 3, 1942 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late, Thomas Hammock and Myrtle Barbour Hammock. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Catherine Shelton and Shirley Dalton; three brothers, Raleigh Hammock, Walter Hammock, and Ray Hammock. She was a retired employee from Capps Shoe Corporation. Mary enjoyed working and being with her family, especially her grandsons.
She is survived by her husband, Billy W. Moore, Sr. of the residence; a son Billy Moore Jr. and wife Angela of Gretna; a daughter Elizabeth Diane Moore Witcher and husband Jeff of Gretna; three brothers Roger Lee Hammock of Greensboro, NC, James Hammock of Gretna, and Grady Hammock of Long Island; two sisters, Carleen Collins of Danville and Brenda Waters of Pittsville; two grandsons, Cody Moore and Derek Witcher, both of Gretna.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2012 at Hillcrest Burial Park, Chatham by Roger Lee Hammock.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
