Gretna…..Mary Simpson Amos, age 97 of Gretna died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at her residence.
Born August 31, 1915 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Charlie D. Simpson and Lettie Ann Huffman Simpson. Mrs. Amos was predeceased by her husband, Stokley Amos. She was the co-owner/operator of Amos Cab. Mrs. Amos enjoyed her yard and working with flowers.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Albert Moser. Burial will follow in the Amos Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
