Chatham……….Mark Roger Strickland, age 59 of Chatham passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 at his residence.

Born February 20, 1964 in Danville, he was a son of Edna Redd Strickland of Chatham and the late Hubert Strickland. He was also predeceased by a nephew, Marvin Strickland, Jr. Mark was a very special young man, he loved music and he loved his family. Mark was also known as "Mr. Pete."

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister, Bobbi Jo Saunders and husband, Jason of Chatham; three brothers, Marvin Strickland of Providence, NC, Glenn Strickland and significant other, Rebecca Yeatts of Java and Doc Strickland of Java; a special sister, Heather Walden; and eight nephews and five nieces.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery by Rev. Mike McDowell.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence, 221 Marilla Lane Chatham.
