Sandy Level……Mark Anthony Arthur, age 61 of Sandy Level, died Saturday, December 31, 2022 at his residence after a 13 year battle with Cancer.

Born March 29, 1961 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Perry Quitman Arthur and Thelma Cassidy Arthur.  He was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church and the owner/operator of Mark Arthur Hauling.  He traveled all over the world hunting and completed the World Grand Slam in turkey hunting.  He also enjoyed drag racing.

He is survived by one daughter, Skylar Taylor of Sandy Level; one brother, Al Arthur and wife, Tami of Sandy Level; one sister, Pam Barbour and husband, Leslie of Sandy Level; one grandson, Maverick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland.  Burial will follow in Liberty Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
