Altavista……….Marie Inge Reynolds, age 79 of Altavista died Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Autunm Care Nursing and Rehab of Altavista.

Born May 21, 1944 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Norman Arthur Inge and Annie Elizabeth Scruggs Inge.  She was predeceased by her husband, Garland Blake "G.B." Reynolds, Jr.; and one sister, Betty Hamlett.  Mrs. Reynolds was a member of Gretna Pentecostal Holiness Church, and she was an owner/operator of Western Auto Altavista.  She sang in the choir, and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by three sons, Jason Reynolds and wife, Christy of Long Island, Blake Reynolds of Evington, and Norman Johnson and husband, Scott of Washington D.C.; one daughter, LeAnn R. Hendricks of Altavista; one brother, Richard Inge of Chatham; one sister, Cindy Gibson and husband, Darrell of Gretna; three grandchildren, Hunter Reynolds, Hailey Reynolds, and B.J. Hendricks; and numerous nieces, and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted 4:30 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Dennis Nichols.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Jason, and Christy Reynolds, 8325 Straightstone Road, Long Island, VA.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Gretna Pentecostal Holiness Church, P.O. Box 336, Gretna, VA 24557.
