Gretna…….Hazel Marie Edwards Burnette, age 81 of Gretna, died Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Chatham Health & Rehab.

Born May 21, 1937 in Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Letcher Eldridge Edwards and Hazel Hedrick Edwards. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Clay Burnette. Marie was a member of Greenbay Christian Church.  She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, canning, bird watching, and reading her Bible.

She is survived by one daughter, Tina Marie Hayden; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, including a special cousin, Dale Clay Matherly.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Lynn Marstin.  Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
