Obituary

Altavista……….Margaret Eudalia Walden Clay, age 87 of Altavista died Monday, April 8, 2013 at her residence.
Born December 24, 1925 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Berry Walden and Eudalia Farmer Walden. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Benjamin Clay, two brothers, Harold Walden and Raymond Walden, and her son-in-law, Chester Finney. Mrs. Clay enjoyed shopping, her dolls, embroidering, singing, playing her guitar, gardening and farming. She was a member of Clement Memorial Wesleyan Church and was a retired employee of the Lane Company. She loved and enjoyed her pet dog "Baby".
She is survived by one son, Kenneth Clay and wife, Vicky of Altavista; three daughters, Shelby Keatts and husband, Lynn of Gretna, Dianne Hutcherson and husband, Richard of Rustburg and Delores Finney of Callands; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 12, 2013 at Clement Memorial Wesleyan Church by Pastor Matt Alford and Rev. David Bayse. Burial will follow in Altavista Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her granddaughter, Shelly Richardson and her husband, Jason, 606 South Main Street, Gretna.
