Madison Heights…..Mallie Howell Hines, age 81 of Madison Heights died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at The Oakes of Lynchburg.
Born September 22, 1930 in Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Pierce T. (Jake) Howell and Eva Johnson Howell. She was predeceased by a brother, Duval Howell. Mrs. Hines was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church and was a seamstress. She loved being with her family and friends.
She is survived by three sons, Ralph Hines, Jr. and wife, Becky of Rustburg, Jeff Hines and his wife, Christi of Madison Heights, and James Hines and his wife Wendy of Monroe; one daughter, Loretta Hines of Madison Heights; one brother, Ottis Howell of Altavista; one sister, Priscilla Spear of Gretna; her husband, Ralph J. Hines Sr. of Salem; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Summersett Baptist Church Cemetery by Elder Raymond Goad. The family will receive friends at Summersett Baptist Church Saturday following the service.
