Gretna……..Larry Lynn Wood, age 75 of Gretna died Sunday, August 21, 2022 at his residence.

Born August 12, 1947 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Irvin Green Wood, Sr. and Bernice Yeatts Wood.  He was predeceased by his longtime companion, Janet Adkins.  Mr. Wood was a brick mason; and he enjoyed gardening, and going to the trade lot in Altavista.

He is survived by one brother, Irvin Wood, Jr. of Gretna; two sisters, Brenda Andrews of Gretna, and Kathy Simpson and husband, Nelson of Hurt; and two nephews, Michael Andrews and wife, Beth, and Adam Andrews and wife, Corin.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. Jason Andrews.

The family will receive friends at the residence of his sister, Brenda Andrews.
