Gretna………Richard Lynn Power, age 55 of Gretna died Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born October 14, 1966 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Cecil Ray "Buddy" Power and Lizzie Mae Francis Power.  He was predeceased by a brother, Billy Ray Power.  Lynn was a tobacco farmer.  He loved fishing, hunting, cooking and doing anything Richard II wanted to do.

He is survived by a son, Richard Power II and girlfriend, Hailey Craft; two brothers, Wayne Power and wife, Kathy of Gretna, and Sam Power of Gretna; two sisters, Joan Myers and significant other, Mike Martin of Gretna, and Connie Shelton and husband, Kenny of Gretna; a sister-in-law, Pam Power of Gretna; a nephew, Jason Myers and wife, Whitney of Long Island; two nieces, Tammy Morgan and husband, David of Danville, and Jessica Power of Altavista; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and the mother of his son, Regina Pugh Power of Gretna.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Dennis Nichols.  Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
