Gretna…….Morris Linwood "Papa Lynn" Osborne, age 66 of Gretna died Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born March 28, 1956 he was a son of the late Archie Linwood Osborne and Clara Jane George Osborne. He was a member of Gretna Christian Church and retired from Times Fiber. Lynn loved playing softball, riding four-wheelers, hunting, and mowing grass; but above all else, "Papa Lynn" loved life, people, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Hedrick Osborne of the residence; two sons, Chris Osborne and wife, Jolie of Gretna and Jason Osborne of Stoneville, NC; one sister, Charlotte Craig and husband, Don of Bassett; a special uncle and aunt, J.W. George and wife, Betty of Java; five grandchildren, Brayden, Chloe, Fallon, Callie, Blaine and wife, Kayla; and numerous special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Greenbay Christian Church by Lee Ashley, Minister and Rev. Bobby Brumfield.

The family will receive friend one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Greenbay Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to, Mountain Mission School, 1760 Edgewater Dr. Grundy, VA 24614-9986.
