Pittsville…..Lyle Wayne Adkins, age 59 of Pittsville died Friday, August 17, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital as the result of an automobile accident.

Born September 20, 1958 in Rocky Mount, he was a son of Eleanor Louise Blair Adkins of Pittsville and the late Lionel Wilford Adkins.  He did electrical work as a groundman and was a member of Liberty Christian Church.  Mr. Adkins loved his children and enjoyed taking care of all of his family.  He also enjoyed working in the shop and doing yardwork.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Lisa "Amy" Broadway; two sons, Dylan Adkins and James Adkins; two daughters, Denise Friedman and McKinzie Adkins; one step-daughter, Brianna Broadway; one brother, Lydell "Boo" Adkins and wife, Kim; two sisters, Lani Sue Vessenmeyer and husband, George and Lori Watson and husband, Timmy; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Liberty Christian Church by Lacy Thomas and Wayne Grinnell, Minister.

The family will receive friends at the residence of his mother, Eleanor Louise Blair Adkins.
