Chatham……….Luther David “Luke” Pickeral, age 44 of Chatham passed away Friday, October 16, 2026 at his residence.

Born October 14, 1982 in Danville, he was a son of Harry David Pickeral and wife, Vicki of Chatham and Delores Hammack Richardson of Chatham. He was predeceased by his step-father, Ronald Richardson. Luke worked at both EPL and J.R.’s Auto Care. He attended Chatham Pentecostal Holiness Church. He loved playing pool; and enjoyed playing ball and watching UNC and Gretna sports.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Sholonda Davis Pickeral of the residence; one daughter, Kendyl Pickeral of Danville; two step-daughters, Jazlyn Craft of Chatham and Noel Word of Chatham; one sister, Stormy Richardson (Dillion) of Ringgold; three step-siblings, Melissa Smith of Chatham, Jessica Hedrick and husband, Jody of Chatham and Eugene Gregory and wife, Mandy of Chatham; devoted uncle and aunt, J.R. and Darlene Gibson of Chatham; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2026 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Obdulio Berrios. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2026 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
