Gretna...........Lucy Brooks Doss, age 92 of Gretna, died Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born July 2, 1928 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Marion Brooks and Margie Dalton Brooks.  She was predeceased by a son, Donnie Doss; and a sister, Shirley Pickeral.  Mrs. Doss was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Altavista; and she worked with Altavista Manufacturing and several other manufacturing companies before retiring from Pluma.  She never had an enemy; and she enjoyed being around people, sewing, and cooking.

She is survived by one son, Lynnie Doss and wife, Carolyn of Evington; one daughter, Sylvia Dawson of Gretna; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2021 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Altavista by Pastor Gary Shupe and Lynnie Doss.
