Gretna……….Lucy Bell Brooks Neal, age 89 of Gretna died Friday, April 8, 2016 at Chatham Health & Rehab.
Born May 9, 1926 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Scott Brooks and Bethany (Bunch) Eanes Brooks. She was predeceased by a son, Wayne Neal and 11 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Neal was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church and was a home maker. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, watching TV, flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of over 64 years, Reuben William Neal of the residence; one son, Terry Neal and wife, Barbara of Gretna; three grandchildren, Anthony Neal, Timothy Neal and Daniel Neal; three great-grandchildren, Skyler Neal, Paislee Neal and Logan Neal.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by Elder Marvin Brumfield and Elder Raymond Goad. Burial will follow in the Neal-Adams Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
