Glade Hill……….Myrtle Lucille Cook Hudson, age 83 of Union Hall died Sunday, January 17, 2016.
Born June 24, 1932 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Guy Edgar Cook and Earla Belle Tuck Cook. She was predeceased by her husband, Calvin Jake Hudson; a foster son, Kim Patrick Hudson; a former son-in-law, Steve Robertson; a brother, Raymond Cook; and a sister, Eunice Irby. She was a member of Sandy Level Baptist Church and retired from DuPont. She enjoyed camping, cooking, eating ice cream and reading.
She is survived by two sons, Calvin Jake Hudson, Jr. and his wife, Rebecca of Chesnee, SC and Tommy Lee Hudson and his wife, Magdalene of Chesnee, SC; one daughter, Delores "Tootsie" Robertson of Rocky Mount; one brother, Roger Cook and his wife, June of Wirtz; two sisters, Jean Neville of Gretna and Peggy Ashworth of Gretna; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Brian Ashworth and Rev. Agie Holland. Burial will follow in Liberty Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
