Loutricia Myers Jacobs

Gretna…..Loutricia Myers Jacobs, age 72 of 207 Watts Street, Gretna, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born January 26, 1939 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late E. Reuben Myers and Cordie George Myers. Mrs. Jacobs was predeceased by a brother, Herman Myers; and two sisters, Florence Ramsey, and Madeline (Mag) Dalton. She was a member of Piney Fork Baptist Church, and was the church treasurer for over twenty years. She was employed by three car dealerships in Pittsylvania County, and was the Executive Director for the March of Dimes for Danville, Pittsylvania County, and Halifax County.
She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Abner Jacobs of the residence; two sisters, Gladys Yeatts of Gretna, and Virgie Nichols of Lynch Station; a brother-in-law, Paul Dalton of Gretna; a sister-in-law, Pauline M. Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Piney Fork Baptist Church by Rev. Roy Ford and the Rev. Dr. Lynn Marstin. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Friday, November 18, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
