Gretna………Louise Keesee Yeatts, age 84 of Gretna died Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Centra Specialty Hospital in Lynchburg.

Born September 24, 1938 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late William Lundy Keesee and Ruth Pickral Keesee.  She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Taft "H.T." Yeatts, Jr.; one brother, Willard Keesee and three sisters, Marie Bandy, Hattie Lassiter and Lena Wilkes.  Mrs. Yeatts was a member of Piney Fork Baptist Church and she was a farmer.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching NASCAR.

She is survived by three sons, Taft Yeatts and wife, Karen of Gretna, Allen Yeatts and wife, Michele of Durham, NC, and James Yeatts of Gretna; one brother, Edward "Zeke" Keesee of Gretna; one sister, Norris Wilkes of Gretna; eight grandchildren, Beth Hill, Alaina Weaver, Brandy Strausbaugh, Kristin Dickerson, Meagan Long, Jared Reutter, Julie McIsaac, and Brent Reutter; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. David Turbyfill.  Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
