Chatham……Louise Norcutt Wooding, age 92 of Chatham, died Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Autumn Care of Altavista.
Born February 11, 1930 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Gary Lee Norcutt and Minnie Creasy Norcutt. She was predeceased by one granddaughter, Brandy Leigh Barker; four brothers, Otis Norcutt, Nelson Norcutt, John Roy Norcutt, and Bill Norcutt; and three sisters, Mary Roach, Elsie Shelton, and Eloise Norcutt. Mrs. Wooding was the owner/operator of Woodings Grocery and she was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed word search puzzles, fishing, gardening, flowers, and being outdoors.
She is survived by one son, Phillip Walker and wife, Brenda Walker of Raleigh, NC; two daughters, Linda Moser and husband, Rev. Albert Moser of Blairs, and Cynthia Barker and husband, Danny Barker of Chatham; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Albert Moser and Larry Owen, Minister. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Danny Barker, 111 Reid Street, Chatham.
