Chatham…….Lois Rigney Towler, age 89 of Chatham passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Born May 3, 1931 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Sam Rigney and Essie Adkins Rigney. She was predeceased her husband, Odelle Wilson Towler; a granddaughter, Mona Roach; a son-in-law, Ronnie Shelton; and a brother-in-law, J.W. Watson. Mrs. Towler was a member of Greenbay Christian Church. She loved her flowers, enjoyed reading and sitting on her front porch.

She is survived by one son, Mack Towler of Chatham; two daughters, Vickie Shelton of Blairs and Carol Overton and husband, Michael of Chatham; one sister, Christine Watson of Chatham; three grandchildren, Laura Cook and husband, Charles, Matthew Brumfield and Matthew Overton; four great-grandchildren, Heather Roach, Chad Roach and wife, Nicole, William Cook and Abigail Cook; and one great-great-grandchild, Landon McCann.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Wagner Family Cemetery by Rev. James Headen.
