Gretna.……Lois Myers Irby, age 78 of Gretna died Saturday, December 14, 2024 at her residence.

Born September 18, 1946 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Collian Myers and Ethel Hammack Myers.  She was predeceased by one brother, Gordon Myers; and one sister, Ruth Wyatt.  Mrs. Irby retired from BGF Industries.  She loved traveling, quilting, doing crafts, reading and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew M. Irby of the residence; two daughters, Donna Youngvall and husband, John of Lillington, NC and Sandra Walden and husband, Jack of Gretna; one son, Jason Irby and wife, Cheryl of Pittsville; one sister, Doris Conner of Chatham; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and ten step-great-grandchildren; an adopted grandson and one great-grandchild on the way.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Greenfield Baptist Church Cemetery by Larry Owen, Minister and Rev. R.G. Rowland.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
