Gretna.........Linwood Hale Davis, age 60 of Gretna died Friday, March 31, 2023 at his residence.

Born September 16, 1962 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of Mary Shelton Dalton of Gretna and the late Cabbell Davis, Jr.  Mr. Davis was a machinist with Schrader-Bridgeport; and he enjoyed working in the garden, reading and fishing.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Cabbell Spencer Davis of the residence; one brother, Jerry Davis of Gretna; three sisters, Nancy D. Betterton of Myrtle Beach, SC, Mary Davis of Gretna and Teresa Brumfield of Gretna; and the mother of his son, Tammy Wright of Gretna.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Shelton Family Cemetery by Pastor Tim Kyser and Pastor Curtis "Bo" Boley.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
