Gretna............Everett Lindbergh (Lindy) Tuck, age 80 of 4740 Pittsville Road, Pittsville died Friday, November 19, 2010 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.
Born September 6, 1930 in Pittsylvania County he was the son of the late Harvey Linwood Tuck and Elva George Tuck. He was predeceased by a son, Dean L. Tuck; a brother, Winfred Tuck, and a son-in-law, Bill Bartley. He was the former chairman of the Pittsylvania County Democratic Committee. He was a former employee of Gretna Tractor and Implement Company, and the owner/operator of Lindy's TV and Appliance. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on July 7, 2007.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Isabell Osborne Tuck of the residence; a daughter, Debra Scott and her husband, Elliott of Penhook; a brother, Harold Tuck and his wife, Audrey of Pittsville; a grandson, Glen Bartley and his wife, Cammi of Gretna; a great-grandchild, Camora Bartley; and a sister-in-law, Violet Tuck of Gretna.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2010 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Phillip Woods and Eugene Lawson. Burial with Military Honors by the Virginia National Guard Honor Guard will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
