Gretna…..Linda Adkins Thomas, age 72 of Gretna died Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born March 27, 1944 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Earl Clayton Adkins and Ruby Dalton Adkins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Bobby Adkins and Donald Adkins. Linda was a member at Zion United Methodist Church and retired from Klopman Mills. She enjoyed country music, and going to the beach. She loved being a mother and grandmother; and spending as much time as she could with her family.
She is survived by one son, Rodney Taylor and wife, Tara of Gretna; one daughter, Frankie Worley and husband, Ronnie of Gretna; three brothers, Charles Adkins and wife, Virginia of Keeling, Danny Adkins and wife, Linda of Sutherlin, and Earl Adkins, Jr. and wife, Mary of Chatham; two sisters, Dianne Rutledge and husband, Wayne of Timberlake, NC and Susan Conner and husband, Jeff of Chatham; and three grandchildren, Tyler Taylor and wife, Malorie, Tanner Taylor and Elizabeth Taylor.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 14, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor David Edinger. Burial will follow in the McDowell Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
