Obituary

Hurt……….Lewis Junior (Nub) Epperson, age 88 of 3880 Shula Drive, Hurt died Sunday, June 2, 2013 at his residence.
Born September 6, 1924 in Pittsylvania County he was a son of the late Zacary Maude Epperson and Annie King Epperson. Mr. Epperson was predeceased by six brothers, Willie Epperson, Johnnie Epperson, Thornton Epperson, Paul Epperson, Beezie Epperson, and Buddy Epperson; one sister, Lillian Rudder; and a good friend, Sammie Farmer. He was a former employee of Klopman Mills. Mr. Epperson loved NASCAR, and enjoyed watching Matlock on TV and spending time with his special friend Cloe.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Saunders Epperson of the residence; two daughters, Patsy Ann Epperson of the residence, and Dianne Blackstock and her husband, Carroll of Hurt; two grandchildren, Angela Roach and her husband, Cabell of Gretna, and Tony Blackstock and Stacey Tyler of Lynchburg; and one great-grandchild, Rebecca Lynn Roach.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Centra Hospice for all their love and care.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Brian Faison and Ronnie Simpson. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Monday, June 3, 2013 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
