Gretna……….Leonard "Lindy" Gary Godfrey, age 60 of Gretna died Monday, February 4, 2019 at Centra Gretna Medical Center.

Born November 19, 1958 in Danville, he was a son of the late Leonard Joseph Godfrey and Geraldine Osborne Godfrey.  He was predeceased by a sister, Vickie Godfrey.  Lindy was a carpenter and a Jack of all trades.  He enjoyed fishing and puzzles.

He is survived by his two brothers, Alan Godfrey and wife, Gloria of Gretna and Terry Godfrey and wife, Denise of Gretna; one sister, Wendy Brooks and husband, Randell of Hurt; nieces and nephews, Kathy, Chris, Tara, Cory, Elizabeth, Stacey, A.J.; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 in Gretna Burial Park by Chris Osborne, Minister.

The family will receive friends at the residence from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019.
