Gretna……….Lawrence "Pa" Ray Haskins, age 82 of Gretna died Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Centra Gretna Medical Center.

Born May 10, 1939 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Dock Rawley Haskins and Betsy Yeatts Haskins.  He was predeceased by one daughter, Robin Lynn Rowland; two brothers, Douglas Hale Haskins, and Rawley Anderson Haskins; and two sisters, Christine Yates, and Nancy Smith.  Mr. Haskins was a member of the West End Church of Christ and he retired from the Lane Company after 38 years of service.  He enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, and feeding his birds.

He is survived by his wife, Mae Haskins of the residence; one son, Russell Ray Haskins and wife, Anna of Altavista; two daughters, Shannon Franklin and husband, Thomas of Bedford, and Gail Wood and husband, Chris of Evington; one sister, Juanita Roberts of Hurt; two grandsons, and three great-granddaughters.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Sheva Church of Christ Cemetery by Rev. Bobby Brumfield and Pastor Steve Kidd.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
