Lynch Station…….Lavern Hedrick Nichols, age 66 of Lynch Station died Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at her residence.
Born December 3, 1950 in Altavista, she was a daughter of the late Clark William Hedrick and Minnie Pickeral Hedrick. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Laura Blanks Nichols. Mrs. Nichols was a member at Christian Life Church, formerly Christian Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church and was an employee at the DMV call center in Altavista. She enjoyed going to church and gardening. Mrs. Nichols spent many years as the gardener at Hurt Elementary School.
She is survived by two sons, Chad Nichols and wife, Rachel of Hurt and Brian Nichols of Lynch Station; four sisters, Jewel Robertson of Gretna, Jean Wells and husband, Larry of Hurt, JoAnn Osborne and husband, Lynn of Gretna and Vickie Ferguson and husband, Tony of Huddleston; and seven grandchildren, Lexi Nichols, Eric Nichols, James Roberts, Makayla Nichols, Logan Nichols, Skylar Nichols and Abigayle Nichols.
Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Christian Life Church by Rev. Dennis Nichols and Rev. Michael Turner.
The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2017 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Rachel Nichols, 13705 Rockford School Road, Hurt.
