Gretna………Larry Donald Roach, age 82 of Gretna, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025 at UNC Medical Center of Chapel Hill, NC.

Born April 22, 1943 in Halifax County, he was a son of the late Roy James Roach, Sr. and Doris Lee Boswell Roach.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Roy Roach, Jr. and Malcolm D. Roach, Sr.; and one sister, Delores Motley.  Larry was a U.S. Army National Guard veteran, a member of Zion Chapel and retired from Times Fiber.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Johnson Roach of the residence; one son, Stuart Roach and wife, Tina of Chatham; one brother, David Lee Roach and wife, Jackie of Richmond; one sister, Trudy Johnson of Danville; three grandchildren, Tyler Roach and wife, Megan of Chatham, Austin Roach and wife, Allison of Chatham and Haley Robbins and husband, Noah of Chatham; and 10 great-grandchildren, Owen, Anderson, Townes, Lila, Haven, Holland, Collins, Annie, Alex and Levi.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Zion Chapel by Larry Owen, Minister and Pastor Zachariah Barnes. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2025 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his son and daughter-in-law, Stuart and Tina Roach, 2060 Riddle Road, Chatham.
