Hurt……….Larry Lee Rigney, age 73 of Hurt died Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Autumn Care Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born May 26, 1940 in Pittsylvania County he was a son of the late Averette Rigney and Mary Scearce Rigney. He was predeceased by a sister, Exie Adkins; a brother, Billy Rigney; and a nephew, Jerry Rigney. Mr. Rigney was a member of Altavista Church of Christ and was a farmer. Mr. Rigney enjoyed being outside, doing yard work, and Coca Cola.
He is survived by a twin sister, Clara Mae Rigney of Hurt; nieces and nephews, Mary Hall, John Adkins, and Carey Rigney; and many great nieces and great nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Oak Ridge Christian Church Cemetery by Lory Brafford, Minister.
