Gretna...........Larry Arlon Henry, age 86 of Gretna died Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at his residence.

Born October 13, 1935 in Clem, Georgia, he was a son of the late Alva Olin Henry and Eva Watts Henry.  He was predeceased by two sons, Chris Arlon Henry and Jonathan Arlon Henry; six brothers, Paul Henry, Tom Henry, Bill Henry, Herman Henry, Jimmy Henry, and Olin Henry; and three sisters, Helen Holloway, Frances Poore, and Anna Lou Rakestraw.  Mr. Henry was a U.S. Army Veteran having served from 1953 to 1956 during the Korean War.  He worked on the Colonial Pipeline for over 40 years and was a truck driver for 13 years.  Mr. Henry was a member of Church of God and attended St. John's Episcopal Church.  He loved the Lord, his church, his family and watching preaching on T.V.  He enjoyed Bluegrass Music, hitting golf balls in the back yard, baseball, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Starlette Hankins Henry of the residence; one son, Phillip Michael Henry and wife, Stephanie of Gretna; two daughters, Donna Lynn Watson and husband, Donald of Chatham, and Jennifer Henry Williams and husband, James of Chatham;  eight grandchildren, Cody Henry and Hannah, Josh Henry, Jacob Henry, Austin Watson, Hunter Watson, Joseph Williams, Lucas Henry, and Izzy Henry; two great-grandchildren, Sophia Henry, and Christopher Arlon Henry; and a special friend, Jean Worsham.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at St. John's Episcopal Church by Jimbo Henry and Rev. Helen McKee.  Burial with Military Honors by American Legion Altavista Post 36 and Gretna Post 232 will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
