Hurt……….Larry Ray Booker, age 72 of Hurt died Saturday, August 19, 2023 at his residence.

Born April 5, 1951 in Campbell County, he was a son of the late Jesse David Booker and Frances Compton Booker.  He was predeceased by one brother, David Booker; and one great-granddaughter, Aubree Foster.  Mr. Booker was a U.S. Army veteran and a master plumber with Moore's Electric.  He was of the Baptist Faith; and he  enjoyed cooking, working in the garden, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy Cox Booker of the residence; three daughters, Jennifer Andrews and husband Will of Altavista, Stacey Booker of Gretna, and Andrea Fisher and husband, Jerry of Altavista; a son-in-law, Frankie Haskins of Hurt; three sisters, June Milam and husband, Richard of Hurt, Cindy Booker and husband, John Sanders of Palmyra, and Leslie Dalton and husband, Keith of Dublin; five grandchildren, Brandon Haskins, Trevor Fisher, Cassidy Haskins, Emma Andrews, and Nate Andrews; and one great-grandson, Carter Haskins.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Carlton Gunter.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Will Andrews, 211 Quail Ridge Drive, Altavista.
