Larrie Hardy Bowler
Gretna……….Larrie Hardy Bowler, age 89 of Gretna died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Gretna Health & Rehab Center.
Born June 4, 1923 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Haney L. Hardy and Cora Dalton Hardy. She was married to the late William F. Bowler. Mrs. Bowler was also predeceased by two brothers, Herman Hardy and Harold Hardy; and three sisters, Belva Gibson, Alice Gibson and Lera Vasser.
She was a former employee of Klopman and was a member of Weatherford Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Chism and her husband, Roger of Gretna; one granddaughter, Tanya Simpson Correal of Apex, NC; and two great-grandchildren, Lillie Grace Correal and Allison Rose Correal.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Weatherford Primitive Baptist Church by Elder Raymond Goad and Rev. R. G. Rowland. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at her residence.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Weatherford Primitive Baptist Church in care of Marvin Brumfield, 5632 Blue Ridge Drive, Hurt, VA 24563 or to the Greenfield Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 875 Gretna, VA 24557.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Gretna Health & Rehab Center for all their concern and help given during Mrs. Bowler's stay.
