Altavista...........Lafe Corey McCluster, age 28 of Altavista died Saturday, March 23, 2013 the result of an automobile accident.
Born May 25, 1984 in Danville he was a son of Ronnie McCluster and Sheila Hines McCluster of Gretna. Lafe was a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, an employee of Medical Associates of Central Virginia and was a member of Summersett Baptist Church. He enjoyed exercising and weight lifting at the Altavista YMCA, floating on the river, video games, shooting pool and spending time with his son, family and friends. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his son, Brendon McCluster; one brother, Luke McCluster and his children, Shyanne and Landon of Hurt; one sister, Laura McCluster of Hurt; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Hines of Pittsville; his paternal grandmother, Shirley McCluster of Phenix and his aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Summersett Baptist Church by Rev. Ryan Patterson and Rev. Jason Andrews. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his parents Ronnie and Sheila McCluster, 1440 Paisley Road, Gretna
