Danville………Kristy Michelle Farthing, age 48 of Danville died Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Riverside Health and Rehab, after suffering from a stroke in 2025.

Born February 22, 1978 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Jerry Wayne Farthing and Judy Ann Mitchell Farthing. She was a member of Dan River Church. Kristy was a huge Duke Blue Devil fan. She loved her daughter deeply and always told her she "loved her to the moon and back." Kristy's faith was very important to her; her prayer journals and devotionals make it evident that she was truly seeking Jesus with her whole heart.

She is survived by her daughter, Kerri Shae Morrison; one brother, Kevin Farthing and girlfriend, Elizabeth Wiles of Danville; one sister, Laura Mayes and husband, James of Ringgold; a niece, Bailey Farthing; and many close friends who were like family who helped and supported her, after her mother passed in 2023 and Kristy's health began to decline.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Dan River Church by Pastor Scott Randlett.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Dan River Church.
