Kenneth Wayne Short

Gretna..........Kenneth Wayne Short, age 57 of Gretna died Monday, June 7, 2010 at his residence. Born April 27, 1953 in Campbell County he was a son of the late Malcolm Short and Betty Farris Short. He attended Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Short was heavy equipment mechanic, and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Walker Short of the residence; and children, Glenn Short and wife, Tammy of Hurt, Jeffrey Barbour and wife Justine of Gretna, Jessica Barbour and fiancee Kenny Ware of Madison Heights, Jenny Short of Ferrum, Tracy Short of Lynchburg, and Bridgette Brumfield of Hurt; a brother Larry J. Short of Hurt, a devoted niece, Amber Short of Hurt, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Hank Brady. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
