Gretna………Kenneth "Hollywood" Ray Benton, Jr., age 65 of Gretna passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Lynchburg Specialty Hospital.

Born May 3, 1960 in Charleston, SC, he was a son of the late Kenneth Ray Benton, Sr. and Phyllis Sutphin Cox.  He was predeceased by his stepfather, Thomas "Frank" Cox.  Mr. Benton was a service technician.  He loved to cook, sing, hunt and ride motorcycles.

He is survived by three children, Heather Benton and Lamar Taylor of Hurt, Shawn Benton and fiancée, Jayla Cox of Altavista and Lynn Roach and husband, Christian of Eagle Rock; and three grandchildren, Adrianna Benton, Aaliyah Taylor and Emma Roach.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
