Gretna………Kathy Ann Hastings Taylor, age 70 of Gretna died Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born November 29, 1954 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Robert Thomas Hastings, Jr. and Betty Mae Adkins Gibson. She was predeceased by one brother Robert Thomas "R.T" Hastings, III. Mrs. Taylor was a member of Zion Chapel and retired from BGF Industries. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to shop, especially at Goodwill, enjoyed traveling and going to the beach. Kathy had a servant's heart and was willing to help anyone in need.

She is survived by her husband, Ricky Bowen Taylor of the residence; one daughter, Robin Shields and husband, Keith of Pittsville; one son, Ricky Taylor, Jr. and wife, Carla of Gretna; aunt, Barbara Mills of Chatham special friend, Theta Wilson; three grandchildren, Robert Colton Taylor, Cody Bruce Taylor and wife, Alyssa and Courtney Davis and husband, Michael; one great-grandchild, Coleman Lee Davis; and her grand dogs, Rascal and Princess.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Zion Chapel by Rev. Jason Andrews and Pastor Zachariah Barnes. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Zion Chapel and other times will be at the residence.
