Gretna…….Kathy Marie Francis, age 60 of Gretna died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at her residence.
Born September 24, 1952 in Danville she was a daughter of Catherine Meadows Shelton of Gretna. She was predeceased by her father, Ramsey Shelton and her husband Earl Francis. She was a former employee of Piedmont Manufacturing. Kathy enjoyed yard sales, collecting Indian figurines, and spending time with her best friend Teresa Osborne.
She is survived by one son, Anthony Francis and his wife Jennifer of Hurt; one daughter, Wendy Farris and her husband, Chris of Gretna; two brothers, Carl Shelton and his wife, Rhonda of Hurt, and Jay Shelton of Gretna; one sister, Cheryl Conner and her husband, Richard of Pittsville; six grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Altavista Memorial Park by Rev. R.G. Rowland.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
