Keeling……….Kathy Marie Bomar, age 54 of Keeling died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at her residence.
Born March 2, 1959 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Owen T. Layne, Sr. and Esther Mae Davis Layne. She was predeceased by one brother, Floyd Layne; and one sister, Sharon Hammock. Mrs. Bomar was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and was a home maker. She enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy Bomar of the residence; five daughters, Crystal Allen of Keeling, Lottie Wells of Turbeyville, Janie Overbey of Turbeyville, Annie Wells of Buffalo Junction, and Angel Layne of Keeling; three brothers, Owen Layne, Jr., Russell Layne, and Raymond Layne; one sister, Penny Real; and seven grandchildren, Lottie Johnson, Janie Johnson, Ashley Allen, Kathy Overbey, Jennifer Overbey, Lil Matt S. Wilkerson, Jr., and Savanna Case.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 17, 2014 at Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Alfred Rimmer.
