Gretna…..Karen Wood Levitt, age 67 of Gretna died Monday, July 7, 2014 at her residence.
Born October 1, 1946 in Nassau County, New York she was a daughter of the late Milton Herbert Wood and Gladys Augusta Ottiwell Wood. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Alan Levitt. Mrs. Levitt was an accountant with the Grantsmanship Center. She enjoyed estate sales, yard sales, reading, playing computer games, and gardening.
She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Augusta Levitt of New York, one sister, Judy O'Brien of California; one brother, Kenneth Ottiwell Wood of Colorado; one granddaughter, Zoe Rose Levitt; and her love and partner in life, George Mires of Gretna, and George's family.
Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Lynn Marstin.
