Gretna.........Justin Alexander Jones, age 31 of Altavista died Monday, March 10, 2025 at UVA Medical Center.

Born March 11, 1993 in Danville, he was a son of Roy Edward Jones, Jr. of Biloxi, MS and Deborah Rigney Jones of Altavista.  He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Clinton and Geraldine Rigney; and his uncle, Kenneth Rigney.  He graduated from Faith Christian Academy and worked at McDonalds.  He was a member of Midway Baptist Church; and enjoyed playing church softball, going on mission trips with the church and spreading the love of Christ.  He loved to make people smile; and enjoyed all sports, especially  professional wrestling.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Darrell Jones of Altavista; aunts and uncles, Carl Rigney and wife, Pam of Radford, Sheila Cranford and husband, Tony of Denton, NC, Janice Wall and husband, Steve of Gretna, Kathy Power and husband, Wayne of Renan and Debbi Rigney of Ringgold; a dear friend, Samantha Cobb; and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Midway Baptist Church by Rev. Lynn Marstin.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Midway Baptist Church.
