Altavista………Justin Wayne Compton, age 35 Altavista passed away Monday, July 20, 2026.

Born February 27, 1991 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Elizabeth Ann Rowland Richardson. Justin loved hunting, fishing, his dogs, riding his motorcycle and listening to music.

He is survived by one daughter, Lena Mae Mitchell; one sister, Melissa Rudder and husband, Brandon; an aunt he thought of as a mother, Dora Mitchell; an uncle he thought of as a father, James Mitchell; an aunt, Mandy Seamster and husband, Billy; an uncle, Dan Rowland and girlfriend, Joanne Elliott; and four cousins, Hayden Rudder, Victoria Rudder, B.J. Seamster and Colby Seamster.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden by Rev. Lynn Marstin.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2026 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
